Develop Skills for Success

Choose one of the following options: 

  • Meet & Greet: A 15-20 minute introduction to Library services and resources, including but not limited to:
    • Getting a library card
    • Finding items in the Catalog
    • Finding the best resources for a specific assignment
    • Accessing resources from home
  • Information Competency Instruction: 30 - 90 minutes, one to two times per semester. Hands-on instruction customized to support individual courses and assignments. Includes, but is not limited to
    • Developing a topic
    • Using the best keywords and search terms
    • Selecting the best databases and resources for specific topics and assignments
    • Developing and revising search strategies
    • Citing sources in compliance with MLA, APA, or other format
  • Librarians can also: introduce and incorporate study tools (such as Google Docs, Dropbox, etc.), presentaiton tools, and much more!
